LifePass joins Ski Launch as coffee break sponsor

We are very pleased to confirm that LifePass  (https://www.lifepass.eu/) will be joining us as sponsor of the mid-morning coffee break. This ‘must have’ addition to any ski holiday has completed the first full season in La Thuile and is now set to roll out in resorts around the world. 

So what is it?  Basically, it’s your lift pass but with a GPS locator and an SOS button built in. You don’t buy it, you just rent it for a week (or however long you are skiing for) and the cost is minimal (approx. €5 per day on top of the basic lift pass cost). The low power nature of the GPS and SOS technology means it shouldn’t need charging during the rental period and, as it includes your lift pass, you can’t go skiing without it - so you know your group/family will always have it.

Skiing with children/teenagers/young adults (or feckless adults) is always ‘interesting’ but now you no longer need to worry about their planning abilities. Most of your group will possess a smartphone, and they will probably have set off with it, but a lot will have happened since. If they do still have the phone, will it have any battery left after all the selfies and route tracking? And will the ringer volume be up, or even on (who uses a phone to ring people???)? The LifePass takes that worry away. You can find out where they are through the LifePass app and, if they do get into trouble, pressing a simple SOS button is so much easier for them than remembering the number, ringing it (if you have signal), potentially navigating a language barrier and giving an accurate location.
